    You have a very deliberate process and it appears you are developing an understanding of how to select phrases and connect. It will become easier with practice. You will want to use quotes around phrases and match up your synonyms, i.e, (Walmart OR "big box store") AND econom* If you truncate this word is should capture, economic, economy, etc. For your question, you might try truncating invention, Invent* AND (Internet OR "World Wide Web") It is strange to start off and then as you practice it becomes easier.
