1) Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a meat-based diet? I would say books or e books, like a specialized medical encyclopedia, or a health magazine would have information on the differences and ultimately which is healthier
2) Target often forces musicians to alter lyrics in order to have
their CDs sold in Target stores. Is this censorship? I would say internet, because you would want to find out what targets policy is and then I would find a solid definition of censorship.
3) How much more can a college graduate expect to earn over
someone with a high school diploma? I would go to the local colleges in my area, they would have brochures or pamphlets with statistics and I would pull up job placement statistic, and graduate statistics.
4) Should educators use commercial services to combat
plagiarism? Periodicals, or scholarly journals would give you information on what educators are doing, and any data that has been collected.
5) Is the current lack of sunspot activity affecting global
warming? Local news, to get the most recent information, I would look at scientific journals on global warming and consult any books on the topic.
Hi, Erica:
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have a good grasp on what kinds of resources would best answer the questions. I also wanted you to apply this same technique to the 3 questions your wrote in the last unit. When you consider what information would best answer your question before you start your research, you can determine what would be the best place to start.
Cheers,
Andrea
